This is a beautiful Antique Copeland's Spode Soup/Vegetable Serving TUREEN. It is decorated in the majestic cobalt blue and gold, R3943 Pattern.
The pattern has a thick gold band with cobalt blue leaves. The tureen is enhanced with elaborate gold decoration to the rim and the handle. This amazing piece is both Ageless and Timeless. It will be a great gift - to yourself or a loved one. The tureen is accordingly marked with print and impressed Copeland Spode.Mark dates it in September 1911. The Tureen is 12 1/2" by 9" at the rim with the handles and it is 6 1/4 tall to the end of the lid. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It has a very minimal gold loss if any and some minimal utensil marks that are consistent with its age and normal use. I have more pieces of this majestic pattern. Would have a place in any china collection.
